Health Insurance Policy at CU-Boulder
CU-Boulder has a policy requiring all students have a health insurance plan during their time at CU. You must select or waive the university insurance by September 5, 2012 or you will be automatically enrolled in the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan and billed $1,363 for the fall semester.

Student Health Insurance Options
If you already have health insurance:
- You can select the Wardenburg Campus Care supplement which provides basic health care coverage on campus for $175/semester with no additional out-of-pocket costs; or
- You can waive all university coverage and rely on your policy (students can be on their parent’s policy until age 26).
If you do not have health insurance:
- You can select the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan, a university plan for $1,363/semester ($227/month) that provides coverage on campus with no additional out-of-pocket costs and comprehensive nationwide coverage with low out-of-pocket costs; or
- You can waive the Gold Plan however, you must purchase an individual plan before the start of the semester.
Students must select or waive the university insurance through the online student portal at www.myCUinfo which will be available beginning June 1, 2012.
Students in the following programs are not automatically enrolled:
- ACCESS
- Continuing Education
- Time Out Program
- Study Abroad (including Semester at Sea)
- Evening MBA program students
- New summer students
- Spouse / Same Gender Domestic Partner (SGDP) and Dependents
Students who are not automatically enrolled must come to the Student Health plans office to sign up. You may be asked for additional information depending on your program and will be required to pay the premium and applicable user fees.
