Free and confidential HIV testing

Spring Semester Testing: January 17 – April 24*

Mondays:

  • 10 am – 12 pm in UMC 411 and Atlas 202

Tuesdays:

  • 1 – 3 pm in UMC 411
  • 5:30 – 7:30 pm in Darley Commons main office at Williams Village

* Testing will not be offered during the week of Spring Break, March 26 – March 30.

Testing Information:
The Unigold device that is used is 100% effective in detecting HIV antibodies and is done with a finger stick. Each testing session takes 20 minutes and results are given at the end. With the Unigold device it can take 1-3 months for a test to come back positive after contracting the virus. Students are encouraged to wait 3 months after their last risky contact to be tested.

Confidentiality:
HIV testing is confidential. Records are kept separate from regular medical files and are not kept electronically.
